Amazing Cabin!
The cabin was the perfect setting for our family to surprise our father for his birthday, it was extremely cozy and welcoming. It accommodated all of us that were there! We didn’t want to leave! We will surely be returning to the Babble Brook Lodge! 🙌🏽

Wonderful Property!
This property was wonderful!!!! It was perfect for my sister’s family and my family to spend a ski weekend! The configuration of rooms was perfect and the house was well stocked in the kitchen. The property owner was a great communicater and everything was as it said. We will be back!!

Absolutely gorgeous!
There were a couple families just wanting to enjoy a lodge in the winter! This place was just the right place! Beautiful accommodations, great place for kids to hang out downstairs, and kitchen was well equipped for our food and cooking. Front porch was a great hangout. Communication with the ow we was quick and accurate! Would recommend to any families looking for a relaxing place to have downtime together!

Delightfully perfect
Our family had a wonderful time hanging out there. The home was perfectly decorated for Christmas and accommodating for our group of 14. My grandchildren (7 little girls ages 10 and under) were so excited about our stay and enjoyed finding toys in the closet. We thank you for providing this beautiful place for us to get together.

Great Time in Perrysville, OH
The house was just as advertised and we so enjoyed the old fashioned feel of the place. The animals were great and my Grand Daughter enjoyed them so much. Would love to come back in the summer when we could enjoy the beautiful pond. Thanks for a very relaxing vacation.

Family fun
We had a great time. Used farmhouse as a place to reconnect with our family, play games and just relax. There were 7 of us. We found the house to be very charming. Loved the farm animals. Would recommend.

Great place for a retreat
This cabin was very peaceful and all of us enjoyed it very much. Loved the large lot and campfire area. I think we all practically lived on the porch, eating and talking and enjoying the scenery!

Farmhouse
We were a group of cyclists and the farmhouse worked very well for us. The house is beautiful and we loved having the animals around. Everything was as Shane had said - there were plenty of towels and dishes. The roads were beautiful for cycling. There were some hills.

Wonderful family retreat
Everything was as advertised. We really enjoyed re-uniting with our 6 adult children and 8 grandchildren at this wonderful farm house. Everyone enjoyed the animals and we caught several fish out of the pond. We enjoyed the peddle boat and hiking trails as well. Shane was a very kind host.

Comfortable, like home
This farmhouse setting had a lot of charm for all ages. . .fishing, great fire ring for s'mores, lots of cats loving the attention, and other animals, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and very clean. We had some trouble working the tv, but we weren't there to watch tv. There were instructions, but we didn't want to take the time to figure it out. We had a wonderful weekend (12 of us, ages 2-73).

Family vacation to remember!
The cabin was everything and more. Everything needed for the entire family from 3 to 78 years old. A bedroom for each family, the cabin easily sleeps 14 people. Plenty of family open area, kitchen fully stocked and even games. The volley ball game was one to remember. Also the location is great, THANX!

Great Nature Retreat for Large Family Gathering
We had a great time fishing and using the paddle boat and canoe in the pond. The beds were comfortable but the bedrooms upstairs got hot. They do have fans but it might have been better to have screens in the upstairs bedroom windows to allow for airflow during the summer nights. We really enjoyed spending time together and there was enough space to do that inside and out of the cabin. We liked the outdoor fire ring and a large porch with rockers and a swing. There is enough fun to have on the grounds of the property or just a 20 minute or less drive to various attractions - hiking, canoeing, mini-golf, etc.

Wonderful
Our extended family of 14 spent 3 nights of our vacation in this beautiful, secluded lodge. Fishing, swinging on the porch, reading, playing pool, and relaxing around a campfire were part of the activities we enjoyed, just to spend quality time with one another. Lovely place where I believe we will be back again

This is a VERY clean house. The grounds are immaculate. We totally enjoyed all of the animals. They are all friendly, especially the cats. The pond has a paddle boat which we used a lot. They provide a $15.00 dollar animal feed package with a frisbie. There is one thing that is important. Do not try to use the stairs with socks. It's all hardwood and very slippery. We rent houses every year and this is the most stocked kitchen we've ever had! Crock pot and all! Everything you can possibly need. The only thing that is lacking is bathrooms. One bathroom has only a tub. No shower. Then you have to walk through all the bedrooms to get to it. This was not an issue with us because we are all family and very close. Just beware of this. Downstairs there is a shower. The cottage outside is really cute but again, no bathroom. They either had to come into the house to use it or go outside. They usually went outside so not to disturb the others. It REALLY needs a bathroom . It also would have been nice to have another bathroom in the house. Outside of the lack of bathrooms and going through all the rooms to get to them, it was a great little farmhouse! I would highly recommend it if you don't mind the bathroom situation.

Beautiful country!
This was our second stay at the farm house- our family loves the setting and the home. We had 10 adults and 4 kids and got nicely even for meals. There are a few picnic tables outside as well as a screened porch for seating. The kitchen has the utensils and items needed for food preparation, although it can be a bit tight for preparation with limited counter space. A cautionary note- the stairs to the upstairs are steep- something to keep in mind depending on the age of your guests. We love the creeks in the flooring as it adds to the charm, bit another thing to consider if you have babies and children that may wake up with that type of noise. Another wonderful stay!

Charming Farmhouse - GREAT for kids
Really sweet and comfortable farmhouse...we loved the barn full of animals (and kids did not look at phones once!). Peaceful and charming - too short of a visit!

Beautiful Cabin
We had a great time fishing, playing pool and enjoying the gorgeous views from the front porch. The cabin was very comfortable. Shawn was very receptive and accommodating. This is a wonderful place to enjoy time with family and friends.

Beautiful Farm Experience!
We loved every part of this Farmhouse. The detail, the care, the outdoors, the location. All of it was perfect. With so many little kids the amount of fun to be had with feeding the animals sent them over the moon. Mohican is beautiful and this farmhouse added to the charm.

Great weekend
Absolutely loved the farmhouse. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you would want including spices, coffee, griddle, crockpot, pans, plenty of glassware and plates. Unfortunately it rained the entire weekend but we did enjoy the fireplace and cozy living room. Beautiful furniture. Loved the dining room table. Farm animals very so cute. My husband spent most of the time in the screened in porch with the cats. Our entire family were together for my husbands 60th birthday. We are thinking about doing this as a yearly event.

Overall impression...loved the place!!!
The FARMHOUSE was wonderful. It was quaint and very well kept. We felt like we were stepping back in time. We enjoyed sitting in front of the the gas fireplace and having great conversation. The beds were very comfortable and the entire house was very clean. Part of the charm of this house were the very friendly animals...cats, llamas, goats and a Shetland pony. There was food for them on the table if you wanted to feed them (We did). We are definitely planning another trip back. Such a nice, relaxing weekend. The owner, Shane, was so nice! Thanks Shane for sharing this place with families like ours!

Perfect for a weekend getaway!
This farmhouse was perfect for a weekend girls trip. We had a wonderful time and the house had everything we needed! The beds were super comfortable and the warm fireplace was so cozy. The animals are adorable and such a fun addition. Our favorites were the "greeting crew" - three friendly cats that welcomed us and stuck around peering in the windows to make sure we were having a good time! Shane was wonderful and super friendly! I promise you will not regret renting this wonderful house!

Fantastic get away!
This is such a wonderful property, picture perfect! It was great for our family trip. The grounds are just beautiful! The house is large enough to accommodate many people and to do so comfortably. The kitchen has all you need to make meals with both a large refrigerator and six burner gas stove. We spent the bulk of our time in the large great room but there is another large gathering area on the lower level. We enjoyed exploring the area (Mohican,Malabar) and everyone in my family was extremely pleased with our accommodations. We would go back in a heartbeat! Shane was very available and helpful with questions. Loved this place!

Wonderful, relaxing, perfect getaway
Cannot say enough about this charming, relaxing farmhouse. Every convenience is provided to make your stay effortless and fun. The house itself Is gorgeous and comfortable. Sofa, king bed, other seating extremely comfortable. The animals were an added bonus and we enjoyed visiting and feeding them. Family Gathering at Mohican Farmhouse
Our family - 4 generations - spent the weekend for our annual post-Christmas trip. The home was off the beaten path, was quiet, comfortable, clean, and cozy. We enjoyed watching and feeding the animals and Shane arranged to leave the Christmas decorations up for our Christmas celebration. The farmhouse is very welcoming and we spent the evenings together playing cards and games and watching movies. We may return in warmer weather when we can enjoy fishing in the pond and spending time at the State Park. It was well worth the trip.

Winter Wonderland Weekend
We spent the long Martin Luther King weekend at the Mohican Farmhouse. By "we" I mean 2 grandparents, 4 grandchildren 7 and under and their 4 parents. We knew that the small children would be excited just to be together and they were. But the animals, the snow and tubing at Snow Trails made the venue perfect for us. Grandpa uses a walker and it is often hard for us to find a rental to meet his needs. The Farmhouse was perfect for a person with limited mobility (and for our toddler crew). Shane was a great host. The Farmhouse was immaculate and well equipped. It got bitter cold while we were there, and everything worked even in the below zero temperature. We were cozy warm. We hope to come another time. Thanks for opening your Farmhouse to families like ours.

in one word: OUTSTANDING!!
From the time we arrived at the cabin, we were thrilled with what we saw and found. The bedrooms were excellent and the kitchen had everything you will need to grill outside or cook a meal for the family. If it isn't there, you probably don't need it anyway. Called Shane when we got there about the wood burning stove and he came by to give the straight scoop on use and where firewood and tender was. Never had a problem with it. The Christmas decorations were a plus and gave that down home look and feel to the place. Only wish we had more time to spend there but plans just wouldn't allow it. Fantastic place for large families who enjoy the rural feel of a home. Thanks so much for letting us stay at this fantastic place.

Beautiful get-away!
Our stay at Babble Brook Lodge was an excellent get-away for our family, and the stone fireplace was a perfect backdrop for a holiday picture. Many hours were spent in the basement playing pool and watching movies. The five bedrooms were enough to accommodate my husband and I and our three boys and their children, plus the beds were super comfy. We took the 15 minute drive to Mohican State park and had an excellent hike to Lyons Falls and the dam. Babble Brook Lodge was truly a place that I will long remember.

Wonderful weekend!
We chose the farmhouse for our annual Girls' Getaway the first weekend in November, 2018. There were 7 of us from ages 18 mo. to 83. There was plenty of space and the beds were very comfortable. It was a little chilly, but we wrapped up in blankets and sat out on the porch. On Saturday night we sat outside by the fire and made smores. We loved being around the animals and the QUIET. Stairs might be a little steep for some, but we were fine. We loved our weekend here!

So close to many fun towns to go explore. Convenients stores close by. Mohican state park very close
The house and property, wonderful. The animals added a warm and fuzzy element to the stay. You can tell the owners love their farm, by how they care for it. My friends and I would for sure return for another stay. We have been going on our fall trip for 14 years. This is one of the top 2 places we have ever stayed in. Rose Case

Incredible time had by all and definitely a place you want to check out!
My sisters, brother, and I arrived at the Mohican Farmhouse on October 7th, 2018 for a week-long SIBLING REUNION and we could NOT have picked a better place to have it! Just seeing a picture of the farmhouse brings back such wonderful memories of the times we enjoyed there together for the first time in 24 years. We appreciated that the house was secluded and fell in love with not only the house but ALL of the animals and, I must admit, I miss them since feeding them was such an enjoyable part of our stay. We are all "young" senior citizens so we truly enjoyed the peace and quiet away from the hustle/bustle of life itself. Ultimately, the farmhouse was EVERYTHING we wanted it to be and it was a little like being "home" again as children. One of our most enjoyable experiences was working really hard to get in and out of the paddle boat but, once in, we had a riot and laughed so hard that we cried! I can honestly say that I have had many vacations in my lifetime, but this will ALWAYS be remembered as the BEST because the farmhouse was like home and the company the best anyone could ever want! My family and I are so grateful to have found this place and hope to visit it again. A special thanks goes to Shane and his family for offering such a wonderful place to stay and to Uncle Jeff for all of his hard work keeping it clean and well maintained. If anyone is looking for a place to "feel at home" then you need to consider the Mohican Farmhouse!

Beautiful, Peaceful, Well-Appointed Family Home
Our family is still talking about our wonderful weekend! Three generations enjoyed laughing, eating, campfires, movies, football games and fishing. For the anglers reading this review: bluegill and bass were biting each evening. The house was roomy and clean. It was great to have a first floor bedroom for our 86 year old Dad. The beds were very comfy. The kitchen was so well stocked! A crock pot, electric griddle, baking pans and lots of dishes and glasses are available. We grabbed a couple of folding tables and chairs from the garage and set them up on the porch for a great view at dinner. Thank you, Shane for creating such a magical place and for checking in to make sure that we had everything we needed. Our family highly recommends this amazing lodge for your family's memorable stay!

Beautiful, quiet but close to Mohican’s adventures.
This property was exactly what we were expecting and more. Not one disappointing thing. Our family all fit very comfortably. The kitchen is fully stocked with any cooking/baking utensils and items you could need. Shane and Melissa clearly take pride in this property and it shows. The owners are very responsive to questions and needs. Cannot recommend this property highly enough!

Loved it!
We had a great stay here with family! Our toddler was kept busy with the kittens and box of toys for our whole trip! Perfect place to stay with kids as the animals and outdoor space provide plenty of entertainment and space to run around. A great little getaway.

Very clean and well stocked!
This log cabin was very clean and has everything you need from a well stocked kitchen to linens. It has a beautiful yard and huge front porch that overlooks it. Looking forward to booking it again.

We loved staying at your Mohican Farmhouse. The screened in porch was a wonderful place for our family to sit and talk. Having breakfast in our PJ's is so much better than separate hotel rooms. Thanks for everything!
